LastPass provides users with a safe and secure method of storing passwords and other private information.When the Google Authenticator app displays a 6-digit passcode, enter it in the passcode field.If you have more than one device running Google Authenticator, scan the QR code or enter the key on every device that you want to use with your DreamHost account.If your device does not have a camera, you can instead enter the 16-digit secret key shown below the QR code into the app manually.Use the Google Authenticator app to scan the QR code.You will now see a QR Code and a 16-digit secret key that you will need to activate Multifactor Authentication: If you use counter-based codes, you will need to press the refresh button next to the code in the Google Authenticator App each time you use it to advance it to the next code.Time-based codes also automatically stay in sync with DreamHost’s servers, as opposed to counter-based codes which require manual syncing. Time-based codes provide better protection against phishing and keyloggers since each code is only valid for a short amount of time. If you enrolled in two-factor authentication before March 21, 2016:DreamHost recommends time-based one-time passcodes. Requests will appear on this screen even if you did not receive a push notification. Pull down on the list to refresh for new requests. Note: You can also approve or deny your login requests from within the app by tapping Security, then tapping Login Requests. You can opt into this by clicking request a code sent to your phone via text message when you log in to your account on. You may also receive a login code via SMS text message. Once you approve, you will be immediately logged in to your account on. Open the push notification to approve the login request. When you log in to your account on or on another device using Twitter for iOS, Twitter for Android, or, a push notification may be sent to your phone. If you enrolled in login verification before March 21, 2016: Security keys can be used as your sole authentication method, without any other methods turned on. Note: If you add a security key for additional two-factor authentication protection, we no longer require using another backup method for more protection.
